Le Papillon

This illustration is based on my dog Sophie. She was a Papillon, which in French means "butterfly" due to the wing-like appearance of the breed's ears. Sophie was a runt, and her tongue was too big for her mouth so it always stuck out. She's been gone for 10 years but I still see her in my dreams from time to time.
